ESE students get exposed to U.S. legal system operations

ESE students created a mock trial script and summoned those involved to be a part of the case. A student chose her legal team and each of the students played a role in the trial process. All the students gathered together to choose what they're part would be in the Mock Trial. This is our second Mock Trail in ESE and we hope to continue this cross-curricular lesson to give our students some experience with different aspects of the law.

2018-2019 Evans High School Varsity Basketball Team

The Boys Basketball team concluded their championship run in Lakeland with a loss in the final four to a strong Wellington team. But there is nothing to be down about. This was a stellar season for boys' basketball and the team and coaches made us all very proud. The team has a lot to boast about, including:

~ A 23-8 record, the best since 2013-14
~ District and Regional Championships
~ Senior, Andy Antoine's selection to the All-Metro Conference Team
~ Head Coach Lonza Morgan being named the Metro West Coach of the Year.

Not bad, gentlemen, not bad at all. Thanks to the coaches, players and community for helping bring Evans athletics back to the spotlight.

The boys' volleyball team hosted the 2nd annual Trojan Invitational this past weekend. They invited schools from four counties to participate in a day of volleyball that proved beneficial to all involved.

All of our spring sports seasons are well under way and would love to have your support. Check out the athletic website for schedules and highlights from Boys' and Girls' Lacrosse, Flag Football, Softball, Baseball, Boys' Volleyball, Boys' Weightlifting and Track & Field.

Support for Evans Performing Artsperformingarts

I hope this message finds you well and in good health. Please join me in congratulating the Evans HS Symphonic Band for earning a Superior rating at our Music Performance Assessment! Our students performed very well and I am proud of them.

Now, while earning a Superior rating is an achievement, after some research I learned that this is the FIRST Superior rating that Maynard Evans HS has earned at Concert MPA! The Florida Bandmasters Association records track concert assessment results back to 1932, and March 1, 2019 is our very first one! Our students have made Evans HS history! I could not be more excited and proud of them.

We have to get these young musicians to ATLANTA! WE NEED YOU!!! Your support, of any amount, would be greatly appreciated and help to ensure that we are able to take ALL members of this ensemble to participate in the Southern Star Music Festival. Please use the link below to support our Symphonic Band.

Thank you for your continuous support of the Trojan band program, the fine arts, and most of all our students. Thank you in advance, and be well.
